Want to go beyond classic team-building?

Create a cohesive leadership team that’s committed to achieving collective goals with you

Leadership Team Immersive is my two-day workshop that takes your team out of constant firefighting mode and into mindful leadership development. Explore personal and team dynamics in a safe, inspiring setting. So you reignite commitment and unity becomes your new normal.

Transformation starts at the level of leadership

As a leader tasked with changing your organization’s trajectory for the better, you need your team’s support as well as their expertise, ideas, and the influence of your middle managers on the broader organization.

A united and harmonious leadership team committed to achieving collective goals is the foundation to realize your change efforts.

It can feel frustrating and lonely trying to unite a management team of people with –

  • different backgrounds.
  • different communication styles.
  • different levels of willingness to look at their blind spots.

Add to that a high-pressure atmosphere that leads to reactive team members who mainly focus on themselves and are caught up in silo thinking.

That’s where I come in.

I help you shift the dynamic to build a cohesive and intrinsically motivated leadership team to lead your organization into a healthy, prosperous future.

To transform team performance, we draw on these three key factors:

Inner change process

Change always starts with self-awareness. Only then can your team members uncover the patterns that are holding them back, reach their full potential, and increase team performance.

Psychological safety

You can’t build a high-performance team without trust. Creating an environment, in which everyone feels encouraged to speak their minds, is the foundation of every cohesive team.

Mindful Leadership

Cultivating self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and a focused, non-reactive, presence is crucial for leaders like you who need to collaborate with others and function as role models for the broader organization.

After completing Leadership Team Immersive, your management team will be able to ...

Overcome team limits

by developing a deeper understanding of their members’ motives, concerns, and obstacles to hold each other accountable.

Develop greater self-awareness

so they can uncover underlying beliefs that have kept them stuck in the past and unlock their full potential.

Manage stress better

so they can maintain their team performance and focus on what’s important, no matter what challenges present themselves.

Commit to the team

as well as collective and personal goals, paving the way for increased drive and resilience.

Gain creative confidence

in an environment that allows them to express their ideas freely, take risks, and admit mistakes without fear of ridicule.

Wondering how we’ll make this happen?

On the agenda of Leadership Team Immersive

1. Inner deep dive for the individual
It’s difficult to bring about change in groups of humans without addressing individual behavior. The Immunity to Change process is an inspirational method that brings teams together in new ways by helping them look at the assumptions they hold – and how those assumptions make it difficult to make changes in their lives.
During the workshop, every team member develops their individual Immunity to Change map. They learn what behavior patterns keep the team from functioning better and how to remove barriers to their success – leading them to higher self-awareness and better leadership skills.

2. Trust-building through open sharing and reflection
Trust is the ultimate foundation when it comes to building a cohesive team. That’s why I facilitate this workshop in a way that creates space for everyone to share how they really feel without fearing repercussions or mockery.

Sharing the findings of your deep dives with the team and hearing them open up about their own worries and emotions can be a powerful connecting experience. When you show up fully, you allow others to do the same. This fosters solidarity and a renewed commitment among the team.

3. Immersive Leadership Mindset Training
To foster proactive and self-aware individuals – who don’t just execute, but come up with solutions themselves – you need to equip them with a leadership mindset to help combat ambiguity and uncertainty.

Extra support for your high-performance team

Creative Off-Site Location

that allows your team to press “pause” and supports them to turn inwards and stop performing.

Evening Program

(e.g. cooking together) to switch off, digest the learnings of the day and appreciate the team’s milestones.

Morning Yoga or Meditation

(optional) for a focused and clear-headed start to the day and to support team performance

Optional Add-on: Creative Talents Assessment.

This is a process to identify the different creative strengths in a team, appreciate diversity and align each talent within the group. An understanding of individual talents also supports raising the team’s productivity.

Hi, I’m Peter Schmidt – your mindful leadership coach

I’ve seen firsthand how many organizational transformation processes don’t take off unless you start at the level of leadership.

Easier said than done, since not everyone on your team already has the self-awareness and reflective skills it takes to overcome their limitations and natural skepticism. Or to realize the impact they have on others and the team dynamic.

That’s why Leadership Team Immersive goes beyond “nice-to-have” team-building exercises.

Instead, the workshop focuses on supporting each person to grow individually, integrating them into the group, and recalibrating everyone’s strengths in a way that benefits team performance.

Through my compassion-driven facilitation and mindful leadership focus, I establish an atmosphere that allows connection and trust to emerge.

Got more questions about Leadership Team Immersive?

Healthy conflict within the team is a vital ingredient for growth. In Leadership Team Immersive, your team members learn how to leverage diverse views to fuel growth and listen in a way that creates understanding and trust.

However, if your team is strongly divided and needs guidance in overcoming deep-seated conflict, I suggest a different approach focusing on solving conflict first. Learn more here.

It’s completely normal to be hesitant to share honestly and vulnerably in front of colleagues. Especially, if an open dialogue like this has never been established before. That’s why it’s important to me to move slowly and not put pressure on anyone to share something they don’t want to. My focus is on creating a safe workshop atmosphere that allows for open communication to unfold naturally. Plus, you’d be surprised to see what happens in a team, once someone gets the ball rolling and shares honestly about their inner world.

If you still have doubts or concerns about this aspect of the workshop, feel free to reach out to me. I’d love to chat more about how we can make this workshop work for your unique leadership team.

Great question. Classic team-building workshops are a wonderful way to start to build better team morale among individuals. But with transformational plans like yours, you don’t just need people to “get along”. You need them to not shy away from conflict, and instead, to use it for growth. You need them to understand each other on a deeper level so they can hold each other accountable and address any hiccups right away.

It’s time to transform team performance.

Join me for this mindful leadership journey that creates the space for everyone to feel welcome to explore themselves and the team’s dynamic in a no-pressure way. Leading to a more connected team and renewed commitment among your leaders – yes, including the skeptics.

So you get a high-performance team that’s capable and equipped to turn your big vision into reality.

Ready to dive in?

Let’s lay the foundation for your change efforts and build a leadership team that’s cohesive and driven to make a difference.

Need help one stop earlier because your leadership team just can’t get along?

Your alternative entry into building cohesive teams: Turning acute conflicts into creative solutions

Do you and your team go around in circles due to high tension, deep-seated conflict, and the inability to listen to each other?

If this feels familiar, then I recommend we start addressing the emotionally charged issues first before attempting to bring your high-performance team to the next level. If there’s a significant wedge between individuals, all the team-building in the world isn’t going to get you anywhere.

How we do it

When emotions are running high, opposing views prevail and joint problem-solving seems almost impossible, Dynamic Facilitation is an approach that makes creative solutions possible by providing the space and time for members to powerfully exchange their arguments in a safe setting. This involves guiding individuals through the exploration of challenging topics, fostering creativity and collective problem-solving. This reflective process provides significant breakthroughs. It also cultivates mutual respect, trust, and a shared sense of community among participants.
