Cultivate an Innovation Mindset and Build a Powerful Foundation for the Future
.
»The Peak Innovation Mind seminar showed me how I can look at the requirements of innovation management in a very dynamic environment from a new perspective and deal with them more effectively.
The shared experience in the team has created a new foundation of trust and strengthened mutual understanding. We now work with more empathy and have grown even closer as a team.«

What if the true barrier to your breakthroughs isn’t external challenges, but the boundaries of your own thinking?
Operating on autopilot is great when you want to save energy and time – something that can feel rare in our fast-paced lives.
But when it comes to inventing new solutions and creating something that hasn’t been done before, you need to be able to step out of it.
Otherwise, your brain will jump straight to whatever worked last time and struggle to see alternatives – no matter how promising they might be.
That’s the limitation of current innovation methods and tools. They only target your cognition and not your subconscious mind – the true driving factor in your behavior and thinking.
If you feel like you’re constantly treading water, fostering an innovation mindset in your employees might be the key to unlocking new heights of creative problem-solving.
How do we tap into it?
That’s where mindfulness comes in.
Leading innovation through mindfulness and personal growth
The mind is the birthplace of innovation – yet stress and fear do a good job of inhibiting it.
Mindfulness allows us to tap into our hardware, aka our subconscious, to create the space and balance we need within us to be inventive no matter the circumstances.
Cultivating an innovation mindset helps you build awareness, habits, and environments to navigate stress and challenges in productive ways. And to open yourself up to out-of-the-box thinking.
National Library of Medicine shows that “mindfulness improves a person’s ability to concentrate … decreases the fear of being judged, and enhances open-minded thinking”
Long story short, a mindful innovation approach helps us kill two birds with one stone:
Increasing our well-being while making us more receptive to new ideas.
That’s why deepening your awareness and leading innovation through the power of a focused, empathetic, and courageous mind, is what this program is all about.
In Peak Innovation Mind, your innovators will…
Start rewiring their mindset to grow new habits
that support their creativity, productivity, and resilience.
Increase their self-awareness
to reveal invisible barriers and self-imposed limitations that stand in the way of using their full potential.
Practice empathy and curiosity
to help them create better, and more aligned, products for their customers.
Learn to deal with ambiguity
and find emotional stability so that innovation and great new ideas aren’t dependent on outer circumstances.
Stop multitasking and regain their focus,
so that no time is wasted and is always used with purpose – no matter how noisy the world gets around them.
Grow their creative confidence
so they can move from fear of making mistakes to having the courage to experiment and challenge the status quo.
Become multipliers of the innovation spirit
in their organizations by adopting an innovation mindset that inspires others.
How we grow an innovation mindset, together
Focused Observation
We’re distracted about 50% of the time and feel overwhelmed looking at our pile of to-do’s…
Let’s move from stressed autopilot, into an intentional and focused innovation mindset. In this first module, we examine why multitasking is a barrier to innovation and how to focus on what’s essential in order to put our brain power to where it can produce the best results.
Walk away with:
Skills to access presence calm, and clarity inside of you so you can tap into your creativity while being aware of what is happening around you.
Empathetic Connection
Empathy is a requirement for customer-centric product development.
With the help of mindfulness training, we examine our reactive patterns in this module and learn how mindful communication and listening enhance our relationships with our customers and co-workers. We practice with real-life examples and leverage your company’s knowledge and experience.
Walk away with:
Better listening and communication skills. Plus, heightened self-awareness of your unique patterns and how they impact your life and relationships.
Creative Boldness
We are creatures of habit and tend to judge quickly – including judgement of our own ideas.
As experts in our field, it’s important to approach the innovation process from a beginner’s mind – an attitude of curiosity and openness that helps us to step out of habitual thinking and catch ideas that otherwise would’ve fallen through the cracks.
Walk away with:
The rediscovered joy and willingness to explore new ideas and concepts thanks to an attitude of openness and child-like curiosity.
Healthy Performance
Our performance relies on our well-being. Still, we tend to shut out our emotions, skip breaks, and get stuck on criticizing ourselves and others.
In this module, we explore how to shift from constant “doing” to a state of “being” to support productivity and tap into our joy and purpose.
Walk away with:
Greater awareness of your body and its cues. As well as techniques to navigate stressful situations or emotions – rather than letting them drain you over time.
Fearless Innovation
The last module transfers the foundation we’ve laid in the previous weeks into your innovation processes at work.
We look at how to foster your team’s innovation mindset and start establishing an innovative culture that allows you to experiment through trial and error to become more successful.
Walk away with:
A developed mindful manifest that takes the innovation spirit into your work. Express both individual commitments and the team’s contribution to navigate future challenges in productive ways.
The outline for Peak Innovation Mind:
Modules one and five (Kick-off + Transfer) in-person for one day each.
Modules two, three and four digitally for two hours each.

to give new blooming habits the space, time, and practice to grow and gain hold.
Methods
Lots of interaction and open exchange, meditations, and scientific input to understand why an innovation mindset matters to leave the sessions with intention and motivation.
Extra Support #1:
Regular digital mindfulness training (push-ups for the mind) to stay inspired and intentional.
Extra Support #2:
For the duration of the program, I’m available for you and your participants around the clock to support the individual’s journey.
Hi, I’m Peter Schmidt, mindful innovation expert, facilitator & coach
This mindset coaching program is for you if…
You want a mindful and sustainable approach in your innovation work to prompt a foundational shift in thinking. And want to give your workers access to brand-new solutions and look to the future with reignited optimism.
You have updated products but haven’t developed any real, new solutions yet and want your innovators to unlock their full potential now and in the future.

Read on to find what you’re looking for or reach out here.
Could we shorten the duration?
A new mindset can’t be developed overnight. Running the program over several weeks is a deliberate choice, so the participants –
- practice and build new healthy patterns sustainably.
- are encouraged and motivated to keep at it as they go about their normal days.
- take the continuous learnings into their work lives, so they slowly trickle into. their respective teams and the organization as a whole.
I’m worried this will be too fluffy or esoteric for our employees. Lighting candles in a circle is not our thing.
I can assure you, there'll be no candles - unless the power goes out 😉
This program is based on the latest neuroscience research. Its essence is rooted in design thinking practices, change management, emotional intelligence, and positive psychology.
It’s natural to feel apprehensive when bringing our whole selves into this work and suddenly talking about mindset work or our emotions. But every one of us experiences situations at work where our "autopilot" takes over. We may react to a colleague's comment in a way we regret. Or are constantly distracted and find it hard to focus on the task in front of us. We may even feel stuck, unable to come up with a new idea.
This is all very human, but it prevents us from being productive and innovative. So let's take advantage of the neuroscience and get behind the driver's seat of our mind, instead of allowing our mind to control us.
Does this mindset coaching program help with ideation?
Peak Innovation Mind is a mindful innovation training to equip innovators with a fundamental attitude, mindset, and state of being that provides the ideal soil for creativity and ideation to flourish. However, if you want to go home at the end of the day with concrete concepts concerning a specific project, my result-oriented innovation workshop might be a better fit for you.
I’m worried this is a waste of time for my innovators. How will this program help their productivity?
According to a study by Killingsworth and Gilbert of Harvard University, we’re distracted and not focused on the job in front of us for about 47% of our daily working time. That makes for a lot of doodling, chatting, or scrolling through the web. In this program, you and your innovators will not only learn how to deal with distractions but use them to support your concentration, focus, and creativity. You’ll also learn how to work with your biases for greater awareness and insights.
Laying the foundation for an innovative culture
The world is changing, and so must we.
After years of creative stagnation, it’s time to return to your core as an innovator. It’s time to –
- create an encouraging atmosphere that leverages our humanness.
- provide your employees with a sense of purpose that brings back ease and joy.
- tap into the power of the mind to ready your employees for any future challenge.
Let’s lay the foundation for sustainable growth together by cultivating an innovation mindset and building a company culture that supports us all in our creative endeavors.
